Welcome to Post-16
At West Walsall E-ACT Academy, Post-16 is an integral part of the Academy for all students. We aim to encourage as many of our students as possible to continue their study with us following Year 11 and we also aim to enrich the Post-16 provision of students just starting with us, transitioning from other schools to study their A-Level or Level 2 and/or 3 qualifications at West Walsall.
Post-16 provision at the academy is growing as exam results improve. We offer a range of level 2 and 3 qualifications from BTEC to AS and A level courses. Many students completing level 2 courses go on to join our A level classes.
We offer over 20 A level courses covering a range of subjects. We expect students to study four AS level subjects in Year 12, reducing to three subjects at A2 in Year 13. 90% of our A-level students go on to university.
