Head Students and Form Representatives
At WWEA Post-16, we implement a democratic body of students consisting of Head Students, Deputy Head Students and Form Representatives.
These students are actively involved with important decision making within Post-16 and the wider academy. They listen to their fellow students concerns and bring them to the attention of staff in regular meetings. They also take on the role of being ambassadors for the academy and role models to our younger students.
Our Head Students, a Head Girl and Head Boy are elected each academy year in Year 12 to become the Deputy Head Students for that year, transitioning to the Head Students when the incumbent ones leave at the end of Year 13.
The Head Students take part in a whole range of important activities within the academy; they host our annual Presentation Evening at Walsall Town Hall, organise charity events, conduct meetings with Form Representatives and meet with students from other schools.
Our current Head Students are Natalie Nolan and Ryan Simmons and Deputy Head Students Carrie Lunt and Ali Haider.
